Great knife compared to the regular X-ACTO Sep 09, 2009
By Bladen's Mommy I ordered this knife after using the basic metal X-ACTO knife. The metal one was very uncomfortable because the textured part is so rough. This one is rubber where you grip it and very comfortable, in comparison. The blade gets a little loose at times, but I experienced that with the metal one as well. I may be doing something wrong that is making it loose. It's easily tightened, so it's no big deal to me. I love the attractive pink color, but I think you can purchase this same knife in black, so if you are a man or don't like pink, you do have options. I would recommend this one to any crafter. I don't use it every day, by any means, but the times I do use it, I enjoy the comfort. You can also use the regular and cheaper #11 blades in it, so you don't have to purchase the pricier designer series blades, which is another huge plus=)
*UPDATE: Since posting this review, I've noticed that the safety cap doesn't stay on very well and the overall shape of this is a little bulky compared to my new favorite that is by far superior to this one, the Martha Craft Knife, by EK Success and Martha Stewart. It is just much more comfortable, less bulky, but not too skinny, has a smooth silicone coating all over, and the cap actually stays on.

loose blades! Apr 15, 2010
By court This item works pretty well, but after I've been cutting for a while I'll notice the blade has dislodged itself and is slanted and falling out of the handle. That seems kind of dangerous and is annoying because I have to keep stopping and adjusting, but other than that it's what you expect out of an X-Acto: sharp.
