manikin adult left hand Jan 19, 2009
By Lauradewster I was slightly disappointed with this product. My daughter took it out of the box and immediately the pinky finger fell off. My husband was able to put it back on, but not the proper way. My daughter is 15 years old, and knows how to treat her items. When she poses her manikins, she's just sure to take extreme caution with the pinky finger. Thanks for listening.

Good but not excellent, perhaps. Apr 05, 2010
By AB I bought this model for my high school art class, just to have in the room as a resource for kids who were interested in drawing from a model. It's a decent model, but not very accurate... or, more specifically, could have more movement. The thumb only moves one direction, and I'm not sure how I would expect the carpals/metacarpals to have movement also, but they don't, and the hand appears very stiff-looking.
A good model, but not as life-like as I would have wished.

Gift for Artsy Grand daughter Mar 04, 2011
By Rebecca A. Sexton I purchased this item for my grand daughter's 16th birthday. She is an aspiring artist and I wanted to help her as much as I could. She had told me she had trouble drawing hands and when I came across the wooden hand manikin I knew I had to get it for her. I purchased both the right and left hand manikins. When she opened them all her friends oooed and ahhed over them as they are all very artistic also. I do think that they were a bit jealous. I believe these will help her allot in her art work as the fingers are multi-jointed and the wraist is also jointed, so the hand can be posed in many different ways. Being 16 she also commended that they would be able to used for gags on her friends. I think I made a good choice when I bought this product.

Great design but could be better Feb 27, 2010

I bought this wooden hand because I have difficulty in sketching hands. Great smooth wood finish and the fingers are proportional. It resembles an adult FEMALE hand but that's okay with me. My only beef with this product is that the fingers are really loose in areas where I cannot access the screws to tighten them. Other than that, it's helped me become a better artist.
