Haven't baked in it. Aug 29, 2009
By J. Olsen I buy the silicone molds for my soapmaking. I like to pour my herbal soaps into these holiday themed silicone molds for gift giving. It is so easy to peel them off of the soap after it has hardened a day or two. My only reason for giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the veins on the leaf shapes. The soap must be quite hard to come out of those narrow veins cleanly. (I imagine they could create a problem for baked goods as well.) So either don't use that shape for softer, long cure soaps, or pop the full mold in the freezer a few hours before removing the soaps. Also, don't forget to have the mold on a tray before pouring the soap in if you want to move the mold anywhere before the soap hardens. The pumpkin shapes gave me no trouble.

Cupcakes fall apart, hard to clean Dec 27, 2010

Too much hassle to use again. I used this to bake some cupcakes and muffins for a bake sale and was very disappointed with the performance. The cupcakes in the pumpkin shapes came out but did not hold the level of detail in the mold. That was easily disguised with icing. The leaf cupcakes were given to the dogs as a snack. There was a lot of leftover cupcake material in all the shapes after baking. The heartier muffin batter fared a little better, however I will be giving this product to a thrift store.
It might work better as a candy mold or soap mold if someone were interested.

BAKING HERE I COME!!! May 07, 2011
By thecashlady123 Great mold works great I would recommend that you use something to lubricate it well if not you may have so sticking but I cannot complain the family loves the fall shapes for ginger muffins :)

love it! Nov 24, 2011
By muffin maniac I picked this pan up on a whim while walking through a craft store and was a little leery of using silicone, but after trying it I fell in love with it and bought a matching pan and two mini muffin pans. One thing to note is ALWAYS use cooking spray and the muffins or cupcakes turn out divine. My husbands coworkers and the ladies in my kids play group all ooo and aww over them which makes me laugh since it's actually easier than regular muffin pans to use since if you spray they just pop out. Lol! I'm all about easy things that look great. Love wilton brand and am collecting the other holiday pans. Haven't tested the other brands. But this pan definately rocks and my toddlers flip over them. It's a nice change of pace to the usual plain old muffins, brownies, and cupcakes. I suggest spitting them like a sandwich and putting frosting in the middle though. That way you don't destroy the image by frosting it.
don't like it Feb 09, 2011
By Akri I might need to read how to use this mold properly, but my mini cakes didn't turn out well using this mold. they got all ruined when pushing them out...don't think I will ever use this again, going back to the old reliable non stick molds.
