Misleading Jan 24, 2012
I bought two of these pads in the anticipation that I would use them rather quickly. However, eager as I was to begin painting, I quickly realized that it was nothing more than ordinary sketch paper. It is great sketch paper, and for other light materials, but the paper curled and peeled when water was introduced. Overall I was unsatisfied and disappointed, but chose to keep them for sketch pads.

Doesn't hold water Jan 12, 2012
By Susan M
Like another reviewer, I, too, experienced this paper curling like ordinary paper. I can't believe it is marketed as watercolor paper. The paint bled through to the reverse side, and the paper curled and creased. I have tried it with a number of different techniques, and I am thoroughly dissatisfied.

Great for Artists! Jul 21, 2011
By E. Kennedy
A friend of mine paints a lot so I usually end up getting her art supplies of some sort for gift giving occasions. This past birthday I got her this water color paper. I had never really thought about how you might need different paper for different types of paint, luckily this fact was pointed out to me. She was very happy with this type, I guess the main difference is it's a heavier weight than other types of paper so it holds water color better. In short- great gift for water color painters.

Not great Dec 23, 2011
This paper is thin and if you have a child who overuses water with her watercolors(my daughter is three), this may not be the paper for you. I suggest looking out for paper sales at Hobby Lobby and finding something much thicker. I gave it three stars because it isn't terrible, just not right for my child.

Seemed Ordinary Dec 28, 2011
By Kammy T
I don't think this paper is suited to watercolors at all. While it is nice quality paper, it's not textured as I expected, and didn't take the paints well. It curled just like ordinary paper would.
