I had tested the Trim n Turn ULTRA in a store, and found that it spun easily and for long periods of time. I assumed the Trim n Turn Plus would work the same, just slightly smaller. I picked the Trim n Turn PLUS for its smaller size, thus making it easier to store in my small kitchen, but it barely turns 1/4 of a turn. You have to constantly be turning it manually for it to turn at all. It is not a good turntable, but I would recommend the ULTRA, for only a few dollars more. (also includes a non-slip top, which the PLUS does not, and a lock to keep the plate from moving, which again the PLUS does not).

I read the other review for this item and I think that persons turn table isn't working properly. Mine spins all the way around. I used it for the first time yesterday and had no issues with it. I got it for the size as I don't have a lot of extra storage space in my kitchen. And with the Wilton name on it, you can allways return it if your not satisfied.

Love this turntable, very resistant, and it was some kind of silicone material in the bottom so the turntable does not move around. Very easy to turn and it doesn't get stuck. Great!

I agree that the table doesn't spin well fast, but I don't see why it would have to. It turns fast enough to smooth my frosting. The only problem I have with mine is the top is really slippery, but I just place a folded towel under my cake and it works good. I have nothing to complain about for the price I paid. This does just what I'm looking for.
I also like how it comes apart easily. After I use mine I take it apart and wash it on the top rack of the dishwasher.

I purchased this turn table to replace the cheaper Trim n Turn I had that the track was getting too gunked up. I expected the "Plus" model to be an improvement on the original but I was wrong. I find it does not turn smoothly, it shutters if you try to turn it to fast, and I wasn't trying to zip it around, just turn it to smooth the icing on a cake. It's better than no turn-table at all, but if looking for a cheap model, I'd go with the original Trim N Turn.
