I bought this tool to create fondant ribbons that I was going to then shape into a bow. After several tries to get the fondant cutter to go straight I eventually pulled out a quilting ruler and pizza cutter, it was quicker and much more accurate. Not only does it wobble and make straight lines nearly impossible, it unscrews the nut that holds the whole thing together. I also tried the embosser and could not get an even continuous print on the ribbons that I was cutting. I'm taking mine back and would highly recommend anyone using this strictly for cutting invest in a good quilting ruler.

I am not impressed with this cutter. While it looks like it would work great, I've found that it's hard to maintain a straight line and that it does not cut cleanly. When I press harder it wobbles. Not great

This item is okay... Like others said, it doesn't really cut cleanly, and it doesn't turn evenly either, so you end up with ribbons that are stretched out. I always usually have to clean up the edges once cut. I do use it occasionally, but I bet there is probably a better tool out there.

I was very excited to get this item, but was disappointed when I tried it. It does not make clean cuts. I will be going back to my ruler and knife... it will take a little longer, but will look so much better! Great idea, poor execution...

For anything other than straight lines, it's great and very helpful. If you just need straight line pieces, get a ruler and an exacto knife. it's faster and easier to clean.
