I'm new to the fondant thing, and decided to buy it for two reasons: 1. The books said I needed it and 2. It was inexpensive. I wasn't let down, I certainly did find it helpful in smoothing my (store bought) fondant. If you're new to fondant like I am, I certainly reccomend it.

I found this smoother very helpful. It would have been better if my icing had been a bit firmer, but It worked well on the fondant to smooth it out. I also used it to flatten small balls of fondant to make shapes. I should order another one because it only comes with one. I would recommend to anyone starting out that would want to try it. It's not very expensive so if you don't like to use it then you don't loose out much.

Not entirely sure if this is making a huge difference, but it get's used. Have also seen that using another piece of fondant works as well. Probably better for larger cakes.

This is just a flimsy piece for plastic. You'd be better off using a spoon or spatula. Thus thing is pointless.

I bought this to make my fondant cake for first time and this is easy to use, I like it and maybe will buy again so I can make sharp edge on my cake next time.
