I LOVE these pans! I bought them on a whim and have been nothing but thrilled!!!
They bake evenly and unmold well, and while I understand the other reviewers' order mix-up, it shouldn't affect their reviews of this pan's functionality. Also, the included recipes are to DIE for - they work great, they're fast & easy to clean up, and my cake recipients and I are all VERY satisfied! :-)

I bought these cake pans 2 weeks ago because I needed to make my nephew his first birthday cake. I thought the mini cake would be a great way to let a one year old unleash on his first dessert.
I love to bake and love kitchen gadgets and baking pans, so I brought this home, washed the pans and made my first dessert based on the recipe provided in the box. I made the chocolate cake with the peanut butter filling. It was delicious.
PROS: The recipes given are yummy! The cakes come out of the molds very easily and the instructions were very clear and concise. The pans clean up really easy with warm soap and water.
CONS: The directions say to fill the pan 2/3 full; I did that the first time and had a nasty mess in my oven. Anytime after that I have filled them in between a 1/2 and 2/3 full and they have baked to perfection. No more messes
My other gripe is the recipes make 5 mini cakes or 10 cake halves. With only 4 pans included in this kit I had to bake 4 halves, let it cool for 10 minutes, remove cakes, wash cake pans, then repeat that whole process two more times! It really dragged out the baking time to have to wash and wait in between baking. They either should have made the recipes so that you were baking 2 mini cakes or 4 cake halves, or included more pans in the box.
Other than that, I am loving these little cakes. They are so yummy and the surprises in the centers are the best!

I was inspired to see what I could do with cakes after seeing several episodes of a couple of the fancy cake shows on TV currently. I bought this set of 4 mini cake pans at the local arts and crafts store for under ten dollars. The size is perfect for us here. We are a household of two.
My use of these pans for the first time, was also my very first time baking a cake (I always did brownies previously). I am really happy with the results I got, and I am pleased with the portion control aspect based on their size. One cake will serve two quite nicely.
The set comes with a few recipes inside of the instruction booklet. I made what they called Peanut Butter "Cup" Cake. The instructions call for the pans to be filled with batter to 2/3 of the pan. I had small "muffin tops" that had to be leveled off with a serrated knife. With non-stick spray, the cakes came out of the pans very easily once cooled. The cake held together exceptionally well. The cake turned out really delicious!
There is so much room for creativity with the fill-sections, it goes beyond the recipes they provide. I am eager to bake some others and try some real decorating.
These pans are well made, nicely weighted and very easy to clean. They remind me of the little Easy-Bake Oven only a bit bigger. The baking was quick since the pans are smaller! :)
I am so pleased with what I ended up with from the purchase price to the delectable edible, I would totally recommend these pans to anyone, and especially someone starting out with baking cakes and decorating like I am. I would love to find more shapes this size. I want to keep making more and invite friends over so they can take home their own personal cakes! I uploaded photos of my first cake baking experience. Follow most of the directions. :) 1. Don't forget to spray your pans or the cake -will- stick. Even with stuck cake, still easy to clean! 2. Somewhere in the book, it says to fill the pans 2/3 full but that is too much and caused a huge mess in the oven. Somewhere else in the book, it says to fill with about 1/2 C of batter. That worked well. 3. The cooking times listed in the book vary, so be sure to know your oven. I only baked mine for 15min. 4. These are perfect size for practicing decorating cakes! Just large enough to give you space but small enough to finish soon and start over with a clean slate. 5. Filling seems to work better with the buttercream frosting that is thinner so the hole is filled in easier. 6. Finished cakes are a bit too large for just two people to share.
Neat cake idea: Red Velvet cake with buttercream cream cheese crumb coat and cream cheese frosting. Basically, you have a white looking cake when presented but looks stunning when sliced!

Great mini pans. The non-stick surface easily releases baked cakes. They are easy to clean and durable. I read in some of the other reviews that they wanted the pans to be labelled as top or bottom, but all of the pans are the same, so there is no differentiation between top and bottom. I haven't followed any of the recipes that came with the pans, so I can't comment on that. I suppose that one negative of the pans is that when serving the mini cake with filling in the center, once you remove at least half of the cake, the rest of the cake will topple over because the filling doesn't provide stability to hold it up.
