This is a great product. I just recived it today and I cant wait to use it. The tier set seems very strong does not seem to shake. In my opinon, a cake that is atleast 14" or 16" should be placed at the top of the tier, folowed by smaller sizes placed on top of that. If you dont want to use that big of a cake, I recomend buying something smaller. I placed a 12" cake pan on top of the tier set to give me an idea of what it would look like, and the pan looked really small compared to the massive tier set. This is a very wonderfull and elegant product, great for weddings, sweet 16, Quincianeras, and any elegant party you may have.

I purchased the Wilton Roman Column set to make my brothers wedding cake. I haven't had much experience with wedding cakes, but this set made the cake! I used it with the water fountain and it looked absolutely gorgeous. It was really easy to assemble and it is very sturdy. The cake I made consisted of 10 cake mixes and was very heavy. The set held the cake very easily. I would use this set again if the need ever arises.

It's hard to tell in the product picture, but these pillars are not intended to hold up one of your tiers- they are meant to hold up your entire cake. Not exactly what I was expecting - would have been nice to see a picture in relation to another object, to get a better understanding of how big they were.
