Not 100% food grade silicon Feb 13, 2011
By Formerly Fatlady My daughter-in-law has this item - it was included in a set. After using it the first time she noticed white cracks in the material - a tell-tale sign of silicon bake-ware that has fillers added. I expected better from Wilton

Excellent Soap Mold Sep 29, 2008

I bought this to use as a melt & pour soap mold. I've had a great time experimenting with the silicone molds by Wilton. Easy release too.

This is a ball to bake with! Jun 15, 2011
By Tammy Golden It is so odd to bake with something that is not made of stiff, unyielding metal. My mind just didn't compute it at first. I was actually scared to put it in the oven for fear it would melt! But, no, it really doesn't. I used this to bake cornbread and muffins, and they tasted great.
I spray this pan with Pam Cooking Spray, and that combined with the fact that you can bend this pan like a plastic ice-cube tray means that whatever you bake just pops right out. I love that!
I highly recommend this pan to anyone who loves to bake. And by the way, you can also use it in the freezer to mold ice cream.

Hard to clean Dec 01, 2009
By L. Cai I own both Wilton 6-Cavity Silicone Heart Mold Pan and Flower Mold Pan. They are not quite easy to clean. I put them into dishwasher, I hand washed them but still can't get rid of the grease. As for soap mold, be patient to wait for the soaps to get hardden enough before get them out of the mold.

Okay but not even close to great. Jan 26, 2009
By Sarah Mcdonald

I purchased this silicone mold to make cupcakes for my daughters class valentine's party and to make jello for them. The cupcakes came out lop sided but they did cook completely. The jello looked nice in the mold but they did not come out of the mold. They fell out in pieces. I was hopefull because I know many people who love silicone but I have never had luck with it. If you have luck with it then you will love this but if you are like me and never have any luck stay away.
