By Richard I got this because I had a $25 amazon gift card, and nothing else really caught my eye. It is cool, if you've never screen printed before, it is nice to use.
I bought it mainly for the screen. But for me (a semi-pro screen printer) I found the tension wasn't good enough. It was also a really low mesh screen, which works well with white ink, but less so with the black that was provided. The Xacto knife is a nice touch, and I REALLY like the squeegee. I've never actually used one like that before because I thought I was "above that" using "real" squeegees; but I really like this for some applications. I taught a class a few weeks ago on screen printing, and the students performed much better the first time using this squeegee than others.
I say, if you are just doing this for fun, want your kids involved or something, you can't beat the price on this, and you really don't need more. If you are looking to use any emulsion coating (I exposed this screen three times before the mesh got ruined), or to possibly go into mass production at any time, buy another kit (whether speedball or otherwise).
