Like I said I was really surprised when I received this, especially for the money! I usually like to do a little research before buying things online, and being that there was no reviews on here yet, I went on youtube. A fair amount of reviews gave "Speedball" a good review, so I decided to try them. Needless to say, I was very impressed, great value overall! This set works great for new or people who already love calligraphy! I myself am pretty new, but none the less, it still keeps me plenty occupied! Great set!!

My teenage son does not like writing... anything! I bought this since he started a secret club with a few friends, and he used it to draft their bylaws. He has practiced writing to make sure the final product looks professional. Got him to write!

It appears to be a durable, but cheap, pen with multiple types of nibs. Just the right size and number of nibs to entice beginners.

Hey, caligraphy pens arent cheap. You get what you pay for and these pens are perfect for a beginner. I was more impressed with the company as my first mailing was lost by the post office so they hurried and sent another one by christmas. thank you guys. But back to the pens. with a little practice you can do some halfway decent lettering. real pens go for a hundred bucks or more...so its really on how much you wanna spend

I like this set because it has the type of nibs I want to use in my artwork. I'm not interested in calligraphy, I am more interested in the fine lines that 2 of the nibs produce. It comes, additionally, with 4 calligraphy nibs, which I may experiment with, but that isn't why I mainly bought this set. I think it is well worth the price; the wooden pen it comes with is standard. All you need to do is buy ink!
