SMOOTH DELIVERY - GOOD NIBS FOR THE MONEY. May 24, 2012

These nibs do indeed "hold" more ink than your average nib on the street. I can also tell you, that for the price, these nibs perform as well, and if not better, than some of the more expensive nibs I have used over the years. I was digging through my art stuff and found a box containing quite a number of these things I have collected throughout the years and to be quite frank, I had forgotten I had them. Anyway, I had already purchased this new set so out of curiosity I tried quite a number of them, i.e. the old versus the new. These new tips held up quite well in my unofficial and purely nonscientific test.
These nibs fit all my old pen holders but I do have two of the Speedball Sapphire models which are my favorite...one rather new and one rather old.
If these things are not abused and are kept clean as all pen nibs should be kept, there is no reason they will not last for years. The ink delivery is quite smooth and there is no "rough" feel about them.
All in all, I am quite satisfied with this product and am delighted with the price here on Amazon. To be honest, these cost me about four more bucks here at a local art supply house...teach me to do my research!
