This marker works well for marking black plastic, and would probably work on dark fabrics and other surfaces. It can be a little messy because it is oil based but the tip has a nice, fine point for writing clearly. My only complaint is that it took a long time for the order to come once it was shipped.

I purchased the marker to mark my stove top knobs. The numbers had been wearing off. It has been a good purchase for me.

I'm a touring musician with lots of stuff in black cases and I've been looking for a fine-point opaque marker for years. These do a great job on any non-absorbent dark surface, very clear and visible. On cloth they don't work well at all, it's not what they're for. Replacing the cover immediately is important for keeping the paint flowing well.

This sharpie will only work for you for a little bit until the tip just dries out, even though theres still paint in the sharpie itself. No matter what you do it wont make the tip work anymore, so unless you just need to use this for a very short term project, I advise you to skip over this.

I use it to autograph color photos! It's better than black! It's also better than the regular "fine tip" silver markers.
