I've used Reeves Watercolor tubes for years now, and for their affordable price they still haven't done me wrong. Great for college students or artists who are short on cash, or even just a cheap set of tube watercolors to practice with. I bought my set about four years ago and it's still lasting me to this day! Just make sure to close your tubes tightly and properly whenever you open them. This set has all the colors you'll need to start off with. I would suggest getting a tube of white goache separately since the Chinese white that's included, while splendid, is better for mixing than for highlights.

These water colors are gorgeous and they wash off real easily. They adhere to the canvas and and cold press paper perfectly!

I bought these for my 4 year old son after reading that one nice set of these will last a long time and be much more fun than standard children's water colors which usually yield weak pastels. We used them right away and I have to agree. These have much more vibrant colors than usual children's water color and will be much more satisfying to use. We mixed the paste with a little water since it is very thick, and since we don't paint very often these will probably last us many years, making them economical.

A friend of mine loves to paint so I always get her art supplies for gift giving occasions. I got her a set of these paints along with some Reeves water color paper and a set of acrylic paints too. This set was a big hit! It gives artists a nice assortment of colors to choose from and you can always get bigger tubes of the colors you end up using the most.

I am a beginner in water colors so I bought this set of paint because of the low price. The paint are good! Colors are sharp and strong, easy to use. The only thing I wondered is that when I mix 3 colors of them (crimson, french ultramarin, yellow ocre), there are small sediment and do no resolve in the water. I am not sure if this is a general phenomenon or just with these paint.
