Raggtop Natural Brush Oct 21, 2010
By clean car Appearance wise the brush looks great, but in cleaning my convertible top about 20 to 30 bristles came out of the brush. Before sealing the top I had to make sure the bristles were all off the top. Maybe I just got a defective brush.

RAGGTOPP Natural Horse Brush; Not Good at all Jun 03, 2011
By mark This was used on a brand new 2011 Mustang GT Convertible; it left hair all over the roof. Now I have to go back over the entire top with another brush to get rid of the hair. Not a happy customer with this specific product.

Cloth top disaster Jan 03, 2011
By hberridge Save your money. I tried to use this brush to clean the cloth top of my car and it left hairs all over the top. The brush literally fell apart once it got wet.

Raggtopp brush not worth the money Oct 10, 2010
By simbob This brush is a waste of money. The hairs come out of the brush, depositing themselves all over the convertible top, where you have to pick them off. The whole purpose of this exercise was to clean the top - not make things worse!

Effective if not neat Jun 02, 2011

As others have noted, this brush will leave hair on your convertible top. I mitigated this to some extent by rubbing the brush over my fingers before using it and pulling out some of the obviously loose hair. I still wound up with a bit of hair on the top of my car, but once the top had dried I easily removed them with a lint roller and with further use the shedding of bristles may diminish. Since I was preparing the top for application of some 303 High Tech Fabric Guard (which I will review separately), I was planning on using the lint roller anyways, so I guess you could say it all went according to plan.
Prior to getting this brush I had been using a sponge with a microfiber cover to clean the entire car. I don't have any empirical data to offer, but to my eye my top (light brown in color) looked much cleaner after using the brush, but that could just have easily been a result of the 303 Fabric Cleaner, but my sense of logic says that this soft brush was able to reach into the fabric better than a microfiber material could have, so I'm giving some credit to the brush.
At the very least there is no denying that the horse hair in this brush is gentle on fabric tops. One touch of the bristles will confirm that.
Summary: This brush works well for cleaning fabric convertible tops without damaging them. It will leave some hair behind. They are easily removed with a lint roller after the top has dried, but the issue did prompt me to drop a star from my rating.
