Killer! Mar 17, 2010
By E. Bybee
"Big Boston"
A great first time set up, very happy with it. I will probably upgrade in the next year or so to a better system, but this is a great set up to see if this is something you want to get into. I use mine for painting minituares, I use Vallejo Air Model color and I thin out the game color and it runs just fine. Before you spray you want to dismantle the brush and reassemble it about 10 times so when you clean it after each use you have the assembly down pat.

Excellent bang for your buck Sep 26, 2010
By Ittimai Sirikuptamas I received this not too long ago, and have had much work experimenting with it. I've had little airbrushing experience, so I wanted to get something that would hopefully work well, but wouldn't run me too much.
I primarily use this for model kit building, and using it for just that, it works wonderfully. The initial box for the compressor and airbrush looks a little cheap, but the items themselves aren't. The airbrush feels like a sturdy quality tool, and the compressor looks exactly like it does in the picture. But white.
Now, the compressor has had only 1 issue so far, and that is the amount of heat it generates. It doesn't get so hot that you can feel it from across your table, but putting your hand to it, its pretty darn hot. This is usually after about 30 mins - 1 hour of use, and its understandable since it doesn't come with a tank. I would suggest running it with a fan on, and taking a break every 30 mins to an hour for the compressor to cool down, just as a safety precaution. Everything else about it works fine, moisture trap and regulator does its job.
The airbrush is a little more confusing when I tried it. Initially no air came out, but it was due to the fact that I didn't set the PSI level yet (you can do so by pulling the black knob next to the gauge up and twisting it). Because it obviously isn't a $100 Iwata or anything, you can't expect it to work like one. But so far, I've had very little issues with it. It works, and well I might add. Occasionally a few hiccups, but many times it was due to my bad paint mixing skills. Make sure to clean it very VERY often, paint can get stuck inside this airbrush a bit. Also try dismantling it at least once or twice. You might have to do it eventually some time, and its a little confusing at first but you'll get it.
All in all, if you are on a budget and you want to learn how to use an airbrush, I would certainly recommend this, especially for model kit building. Not sure about other applications, but I'm sure you can use it for those too.

Works Great Mar 30, 2010
By Michael J. Kennedy For the price you cant beat this kit.The airbrush works great with its double action control of paint flow.Cleanup was a breeze rinse out with water then i ran airbrush cleaner through it,very easy.the compressor has an easy to use air pressure adjustment valve and you cant hardly hear it running. If your looking to buy your first gravity fed airbrush i would highly recommend this kit.out of the box was spaying in about 30 mins.A great deal!

Pretty Good Apr 12, 2011
By EC This is my first airbrush so I have no baseline for comparison. As a beginner I am satisifed with the results I am getting. It definitely isn't second nature to me but my work seems to improve with practice and trial / error. The compressor seems very adequate. It does not cycle continuously or get hot. The brush itself has yet to clog. I disassemble it and clean it thoroughly after each use. Seems the cup could be designed a little better to make cleaning the bottom easier. The directions included with the kit are very brief. However, there is an extremely good review of the brush here: [...] that will tell you all you need to know about it. All in all, for the money, I think it is a good setup for the beginner.

Just what I needed! Dec 20, 2010
By Roberto Aviles Let me start this off by saying that the price for this compressor is just right! I mean, getting the whole kit (Airbrush, Compressor, hose) for a rough 90 dollars including shipping is a great deal. I use this for plastic model painting (Airplanes, Tanks, Gundams, etc).
Features: Very simple features.... you basically connect your airbrush to the compressor, turn it on and set the pressure you want to work with and its set. The neat part is that it stores the pressure when you are not actually spraying paint. So, when you restart your painting you have the same pressure... does not have to build up again. Ohh yeah and when your reach the desired PSI it automatically turns off then restarts as needed.
Quality: Quite good for the price! I mean it is very sturdy and seems like it was made with good metal. The airbrush itself is very neat... dual action and it is of very good quality. I also find it to be very precise and if you thin the paint enough it never clogs.
Paints: So far I've used Acrylics on a 50/50 proportion and Enamels on a 40/60 proportion (40 paint, 60 thinner). Both combos work just great! Ohh I've also used lacquers specifically Tamiya and Gunze brand at a 50/50 proportion and it works just fine.
Overall: If you are a beginner or need a decent compressor kit for a reasonable price.... just buy this already! I'm very happy with it.
Hope this review helps! Have fun!
