Works well for ceramics Oct 25, 2011

I am a professional ceramic artist, and this thing has been my workhorse for the last 2 years. I just moved studios, and my old Millennium seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle. I just ordered and received a new one, and put it through it's first trial. The one I just recieved is a bit different that the old one I was using. The newer model has a tip-protector which causes the needle tip to be inset into the small collar on the end, preventing it from bending if you accidentally brush the airbrush against your shirt, a wall, etc. My older version had the 'easy-clean' tapered tip, which I didn't need (ceramic glazes don't build up like acrylic paint does), and I was having to re-buy a needle every couple months because I kept bending them. I am definitely happy with this new feature. Also, the tips have the same size markings as the needles, so I can correlate what is matched with what needle-wise. Before, if I put something in the wrong place, I would get confused and things would be mismatched, resulting in splatter. The only thing that I am a little iffy on is the trigger button- the old version had the 'easy-roll' button, which was dome-shaped on the top, and allowed your trigger finger to roll across it. After a while, this started to hurt, but it felt more erganomic. The redesigned Millennium has a concave trigger top, and your finger tip fits in it. I have not used it long enough yet to figure out if I like it better than the old version, but I was so used to the easy-roll trigger that this one feels strange. Time will tell.
Good for ceramics. Cheap-ish. Decent quality. Get it.
