Great All Around Air Brush May 31, 2009

This is a great air brush. I used it on a wall mural done for "Safe Harbor"... a volunteer job for an organization that cares for molested children. My daughter and I did a tropical beach scene and an underwater scene. I used this brush hooked to a Kobalt (tool company-Lowes hardware) CO2 regulator and a small tank of liquid carbon dioxide. About 1n hour of continuous spaying. I did high lights, shadows, and some fluoresent colors in the sky and sun, etc. This is a great all around air brush... great for fine art. Can do a 1/32" thick line if you want and up to a 2" wide line of paint. Great control and really... the only brush you will ever need for all art purposes anyway. You could use it to do a real-flame job on an automobile if you were so inclined. No complaints... great price... buy an air compressor with an accumalator tank. Harbor Freight has some for $80 or so that sell for hundreds elsewhere (same exact model). Also they have a CO2 regulator for $30 (I paid $100 at Lowes)! CO2 can be purchased at Paintball suppliers and recharged... you can trade in to Lowes (they have them on the shelf). About $6 per tank fill (or Lowes exchange) and good even flow to the brush.
10/23/2011. Update... after owning this for a few years now... the airbrush is still a great buy and would re-buy if I needed one. I found I can clean the front end of it without completely stripping it down. Goes together easily and easy to adjust and use. This has got to be the best airbrush out there. I am an oil painter... I use it to do underpaintings mostly as the fine-art community doesn't really accept air-brushing (they don't take it seriously). But I have use some clear glaze oil colors to tone portions of my paintings and no one seems to notice that.
