Worked Very Well! Oct 05, 2008
By Steven M. Joseph I bought this to help me with my christmas decor. I found the pictures that I wanted on the internet and then used the tracer to increase the size from 4 inches to 4 feet and trace the images onto coroplast. I worked very well. You can see the results for your self at my website... www.cereschristmastreelane.com/Coroplast.html
I was surprised that it used a CFL. I thought that this was kinda nice since the heat produced by a CFL is much less than incandescent. But you must remember that the CFL when first turned on is fairly dim and takes a while to get to full brightness. Still, I found that I needed to get the ambient light down to a minimum in order to use this effectively.

Perfect for what I needed! Oct 16, 2010

I typically do large paintings, I am a portrait artist, and I wanted a projector so I could save some time. This little guy is absolutly perfect for what I needed. I don't usually trace the entire image, but I used to have to make sketches and find some way to enlarge them, like graphing or try to freehand proportions on huge scales, which meant a lot of editing and fixing in the painting stage... This little tracer has totally cut out that step for me, I can make a sketch and just throw it right up on the wall, then ofcourse the bigger I want it, the farther away I move it and visa versa.
The only downside (if you want to call it that) is the size of the picture it projects. It only enlarges images up to 3.5''X3.5'' but from there you can pretty much get it as big as you want. I solved this by putting a cross through my sketch (or on a transperency over it) and then a cross on the canvas, then when I had to move the picture to get the other sections, I just had to make sure the crosses on the progection and canvas lined up.
This is really great because you just slide the pic under there, turn it on, and there it is. You can even project color images.
I would recomend using in a room where you have a lot of control over the light as well, it's not quite strong enough to see in the day time, so I just do my sketches at night.
Great great great for the price!

superb quality for little money. Sep 20, 2006
By Barbara W. Villasenor I bought this projector to do a mural on my dresser. It was so easy to use. It also projects color, so you could have a little slide show if you wanted. I would recommend this to anyone who is doing a mural. I can't wait to start on my next one!

Okay for Small Areas Jan 05, 2011
By R. Kane If you have a small photo or picture (3 1/2 inches square) that you want to project and enlarge, this is a good inexpensive projector, but if your photo is bigger and you have to move the photo under the projector to get to another area, it is almost impossible to realign everything. If you move the photo and disturb the projector by moving it slightly backward, forward, or to the side, the focus will change. You have to work in a very dark room to get a good image. If you pull the lens out too far to focus, it will fall out on the floor and break, so be careful. It's okay it you just want to project and trace a small area of your photo, but otherwise, it's a lot of trouble to use.

very easy to use! Mar 12, 2009

This was so easy to use and made my son very happy. I used it to paint a Pokemon mural on his wall. Initially, I did have to figure out the best way to get it to the level I wanted in order to have it the right height, but once I got the hang of it, the tracing went very quickly. Now, I am trying to figure out what I can do next! Makes a crafty mom, but one with no drawing skills, able to create awesome art....recommended for anyone who wants to spice up a wall (or anything else this can be aimed at!).
