I purchased this Dymo label maker and various cartridges 2 years ago when my son started Kindergarden and needed all his school items labeled with his name and class. I bought this product because every year, when he moves up a grade I can update the old one. After almost two academic years the original labels are still securely attached and have not faded AT ALL. The print is still clear and easy to read. I will add that I wash his uniform every week if not more often. When I handed down some clothes to my cousin's son, his wife was so impressed with the quality of the labels that she asked me to get her some labels for her kids. I bought her the machine and gave her one fabric iron on cartridge. The only negative comment I have is that I cannot find the iron on cartridges at any local retail stores, so I have to order them on line.

I had purchased this to label my LO's clothes for daycare, and I found them to be very disappointing. They were difficult to iron on flatand looked messy. Plus, even in small font, they were too large to fit on his 3-6 month onesies. Maybe they would work better on the clothes of older children. I ended up getting some fabric pens that have worked out wonderfully!
