Well - it ain't chrome! Jun 06, 2012
By slotcargene This one just doesn't do it. I've been painting model cars for 40 years, and finding a real mirror-chrome finish paint is something all modelers look for. This one simply looks like a good shiny silver, but in no way is it chrome-like in appearance! Real chome has a mirror finish. I would use it to touch-up bright silver finishes but not chrome. There are only two products that come close and are reasonable in price: AlcladII and Spaz Stix Mirror Chrome. The best one is Spaz Stix by far. Spaz Stix makes paint for Radio Control car hobbiests. For the absolute best result, Spaz stix needs a real smooth shiny black enamel base and should be sprayed over it. I use good old Testors black enamel model car paint. It comes both in a spray can and a small bottle diluted for spray brushing for about $12. Now for those of you who want to just touch-up with a brush, like those fixing their car's chrome plastic trim pieces, it can be brushed with excellent results, and it even works well over light colored plastic if you don't want to try to lay down some black first. When I touch up worn chrome spots on my HO scale slot cars, I simply use a small 00 or 000 artists brush(can be bought cheaply at craft and hobby stores)and flow it on fairly wet, and it gives great results, very chrome-like, much better than the Krylon or any other product I've tried by a mile. AlcladII is also very good, but really needs to be sprayed for it to work properly.

Really more silver than chrome. Feb 08, 2012

It's really much more of a dull silver than chrome. For small/minor touch-ups it works, but don't expect the result to be anything close to being shiny. So-so product.

Excellent painters Oct 11, 2012
By Nancy * Have used it on the bed of the pick-up to fill in the words Chevrolet... Great! didn't run, didn't smudge..perfect
* Used it to cover up some silver screws on black surfaces within the house..
* Used on a Toyota as well around the door handles (plastic surface), and on the window frames which had rust - it covered up great..
** When they say it's Gloss - it's gloss.. Got 3, and the paint was all the 'same' color, it didn't seem to be different like some painters pens which vary in color.. these did not!
** Used on pill boxes for my blind mother, she can now see the letters - sharpies wore off, these haven't :)... ***
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL PROJECTS - ALL SURFACES... THANKS.!

Paint pen Mar 20, 2013
By B. Messmer

Purchased to use for small details on baby quilts, but even the smallest spots dried according to directions "bled" after initial laundering. Had to go back over all areas and cover with embroidery. Disappointed.
