Did the job. Jun 22, 2011
By J. F. Vogel
"Road Runner"
For the price, it did the job. I am sure that a paint gun that is 3 times the price would have netted me a better finish , but I am satisfied with my ending result.

suprise package Sep 21, 2011
By jean I to found the internals of the gun filled with goop and other contaminates of unknown need. . .it's almost like gun disassembly is being discouraged as the thread compound almost made it impossible....with loads of cosmoline smeared amongst the valve parts. . . I am new to using LPHV spraying but took the advise of Cotherman an inspected the internals...I wish now I had just bought a top flight gun instead. . . . this has all the makings of a first class piece of junk.......kit
The hex wrench(for disassembly)did not fit the parts very well,, almost unusable. I will clean up this fly-by-night sprayer to see how it preforms and will finish the review but, am warning others to hold off buying this kit as it looks like a jip job...
Looking closer at this kit I was compelled to send it back, as the equipments quality was sorely lacking,,I think even an experienced spray painter would have a nightmare with it. . . .for the 17 dollars i loose in shipping I feel I'm still ahead of the game since 99 dollars is far to expensive for these guns....

By Joel A great spray gun for this price. I cleaned the gun from inside out and was able to paint without any problems. I would buy this again.

Tri-City Paint: Paint Gun Set Apr 25, 2010
By M. Cotherman Update (11/2/11, last update I promise)
I bought the Sharpe FX 3000 mentioned below. LOVE IT! See my review. DO NOT BUY THESE GUNS!
End Update
Update (10/26/11):
It was a LOT of work to get a good paint job out of these guns. You are definitely getting what you pay for with them. I would not buy them again. I was never able to get a GOOD spray pattern from the guns. The pattern was ALWAYS uneven from ALL THREE guns. Painting a tractor or an old rusty piece of farm equipment, they'll do fine. If color sanding is your passion, they're great for you too! Otherwise, get better guns to paint something you want to look good. I did do a test panel with a kandy... disaster.
For $105, I've had the Sharpe FX3000 recommended as an inexpensive but good quality base/clear gun.
End Update.
Update (10/20/11):
I am unable to get a GOOD pattern when setting up the guns. The air control to the horns go from a dot pattern to full fan in what seems like 1/2 a turn but full closed to full open is 1 1/2 turns. Same with the material control.
One of my guns spits and sputters. I thought it was drawing air from around the threads at the cup, but it wasn't.
I wouldn't trust these guns to shoot a kandy.
End update.
These guns are NOT ready to use out of the box. I don't see how they could spray well without internal cleaning. They are heavily coated in oil (almost a grease) and mine had globs of ?? lock tite ?? on the threads that had oozed out into the passages. I completely had to completely disassemble mine and clean all of the parts. It took a wire brush (made for cleaning copper tubing before soldering) to clean the threads completely. Cleaning took some time. The air passages on the tips that control the pattern feel like they need to be de-burred. I'm going to see how the guns paint before I do that. But for $80 I didn't have high expectations and after clean up I think the guns will do the job.
I should be using the gun soon (painting a car) so I'll update the review with my experience but from what others have said the guns should spray fine.
