Product is defective! Jan 04, 2012

Stay away from this V-Groove Cutter.
The idea is fantastic. I've spent a lot of time cutting V-grooves, and have even made some custom tools to assist, but it still requires a lot of labor.
The actual manufacturing of this unit is defective, and it should be removed from the market until the manufacturer can correct some basic issues
1) The blade depression area you are supposed to put the blade into is slightly larger than the blade, which causes the blade the shift when cutting. Upon further inspection, neither the tiny embedded magnet, nor the cheap yellow blade clips are tight enough to stop this constant movement of the blade. The end result is a v-groove that varies in width, or depth along a straight line, ruining any project you use it on.
2) When I installed my blades, the tips of the blades were not even. While this isn't necessarily required, mine were so far off, it never actually made a V! There is no adjustment AT ALL for the blades to adjust for this.
3) So much of the blade is unsupported, it provides an additional amount of flex and movement in addition to #1. This results lines that are not straight even though I spent extra money on a foamwerks channel rail.
I will be keeping the channel rail and the straight cutter which both work well. The straight cutter has the same yellow plastic lock and groove, but the blade movement doesn't effect the cut at a 90 degree angle.
I've historically found Logan to represent well crafted products. This one surprised me, and I bought it despite reading the bad reviews because of their reputation. I now know better.
Use of this product will result in random unstraight lines of varying depth

Huge dissapointment Oct 23, 2011
By Ronen Shilo I'm very disappointed with the foam-board V-groove cutter. The blade is not stable in its socket. While putting pressure on it in cut the socket (made of soft plastic) and cause the foam cut unevenly. Also, it is impossible to get a an accurate 90 degree angle on the foam-board.

Foamwerks foamboard V-groove cutter cuts unevenly Apr 29, 2010
By Amazon Buyer Foamwerks foamboard V-groove cutter is a huge disappointment. The unit cuts unevenly. Because the resulting groove is asymmetric it is impossible to get a an accurate and solid 90 degree angle on the foamboard. On closer inspection it appeared that the unit was factory defective. I contacted customer service at Logan Graphics and at their instruction sent the unit to them - their response has been customer nonservice. Nearly two months and ten emails later I have yet to receive a replacement unit.
Not for frame bevels on foam boards Jul 07, 2011
By Gabriel Picado S. This tool is great for making V cuts or bevel cuts along a whole (side to side) piece of foam, both quality and precision are excellent, but if you are thinking about using just one blade of this article for making bevels (45ยบ cuts) on foam boards for mounting photos (frames) this definitively is useless. When you try to insert the blade on the foam this turns and produces a curve at the beginning and it will ruin your frame.
