Much more than a "toy." Jun 11, 2008
By J. Arena If you've never used Oil Pastel Sticks, you are in for a real pleasure. They are so wonderful to work with, and blend like a dream. There are 36 colors in this set, and you can create many more because they blend so well.
Get yourself some good quality drawing paper and add a new dimension to your creative expression. Once you try these, you'll buy them again and again. A.W. Faber Castell turns out very high quality items, and this set is a fine example of that quality.

Quality pastels, good price! Jan 09, 2010
By Lisa Kearns
"Mom of Four"
I bought this box of oil pastels for my son, who loves art and coloring. Crayons and colored pencils are nice, but they don't have the same richness and blendability as pastels.
He was delighted to receive them, and has used them a dozen time in a month. These are top quality pastels - not crumbly or dry. The colors range from soft to vivid, and the 36 colors in this box are plenty to choose from.
I recommend these for anyone who wants to buy good quality art products. The price was reasonable for the quality we received.

Very nice pastels Aug 11, 2010
By aurora jade This was my first time using pastels. I LOVE them. These are just soft enough to be smeared by finger or cloth. But still sturdy enough to draw sharp lines. Overall, nice product.

Less than $12 Dec 21, 2010

You've got to be kidding. In museum stores this set will cost $25 or more. It's top-of-the line pastels and includes informative pamphlet.
Best gift ever for children or professional artists. Simply incredible.
