The first time I discovered the wonders of water color effects using colored pencils I was blown away!
Faber-Castell Getting Started Watercolor Pencil Art Set is a super introduction to using these watercolor pencils to create results that will amaze even adults -- and definitely hook a child into new realms of creative expression.
This is a great item from a wonderful company -- as a rule, Faber-Castell turns out only very high quality items. Satisfaction definitely guaranteed with this set!

This intro to watercolors through pencils is just so amazing! Bought for my nine year old daughter but quickly became a family activity. The combination of sketching and painting yields beautiful very "artistic" looking products. And it was reasonably priced. A winner.

I bought this as a gift for an 9-year-old-friend. She started using it right away and was very happy with her creative results. This was a great age appropriate gift.
