Derwent Pencil Wrap May 11, 2011

The Derwent Pencil Wrap is a great product. It is made of a tan canvas with loops to hold up to 36 pencils plus 2 more loops and a slot. The latter 3 of which for me will accommodate a two hole metal pencil sharpener, a Derwent vinyl eraser and a Factis magic black eraser. I chose to use the wrap for my Derwent 24 Graphitint pencil set; I included 3 Derwent Sketch and Wash pencils and 3 Derwent Graphitone water soluble graphite sticks; 2 General's Sketching pencils, 1 Pentel Aquash waterbrush and 1 paper stump. On the last thin vinyl slot where the strap is stitched to the canvas I slid in a thin hobby knife generally used for building model car kits, this I use for assisting in sharpening the pencils to very fine tips. The Derwent pencil wrap is a very convenient way to take all of your favorite pencils and accessories with you wherever you go, just take your sketchbook along and you are set for a great time of drawing, sketching or coloring. It unrolls and displays all of your pencils for you to easily access them, it has a canvas flap about 1 inch wide that runs along the bottom to protect you pencil's points, it slides under the pencils when it it unrolled. When you are ready to go just place the flap over the pencil points wrap it up put the strap around it and snap it closed and it is easy to carry with you. I bought two right away, the other will house another of my Derwent pencil sets but I have not decided which one yet, I am leaning toward using it for my Derwent 24 Drawing pencils or possibly for a set of Derwent tinted charcoal which I am considering purchasing on Amazon. All in all I am very pleased with the Derwent pencil Wrap and recommend it highly, as it is very well constructed and is an innovative product. I purchased on Amazon.com after extensive research because the price and shipping was the best I found.
