Excellent gun for the price. Sep 26, 2011
By R. Armstrong Pretty new to painting, so I asked around and was pointed to this spray gun. Came with the three tips I needed to spray some primer, base, and clear. The spray gun has given me no difficulties, is easy to clean, and swap the tips out. Follow the simple directions provided with the gun for initial setup and you should be good to go (another reviewer clearly didn't as there is specific directions included for the packing nut). I got virtually no orange peel at all on my first paint job! A little bit of wet-sanding and the paint was as smooth as glass.

STOP Oct 31, 2011
By shemairi If you are thinking to buy this product, re-think! the gun will keep leaking all paint. I found out that the inside seal is not doing what it is suppose to do.

You can buy the same quality gun for 15 dollars at Harbor Freight!!! Jul 22, 2011
By Jimmy Choo I received the item back in May and started to use it in mid-June. The first thing that happened was, the item arrived with the packing nut too tight. I didn't realize this, and during my first fill, it started to leak out the front of the gun. I lost about 1 quart of premium automotive paint. I took about 1 hr troubleshooting the gun. And was able to get it to semi-work, but I had to watch it constantly. Then, I used clearcoat the next day (all the time I strain it) and the gun started "splattering" the clearcoat giving me massive orange peel!!The worst orange peel you've ever seen! I had to spend hours sanding it back down to a smooth surface and I had to redo the whole paint job, costing me, in total near $700 in paint and supplies. This was the first job done with the gun in June.
The second job I did a week ago, I troubleshooted it more and checked everything and checked everything again before I did another spray of basecoat. I thought everything was good, til I realized that in some spots, it just randomly sputtered a few tiny drops here and there, leaving a very unprofessional looking job( in the same fashion that Spray cans sputter). This gun has been incredibly finicky and annoying to deal with. I have been very patient with it and gone over all of the manual, but in the end, it's just the gun is defective.
If I wanted poor quality results, I could have bought a gun from Harbor Freight for 15 dollars. I paid about 200 dollars for a Devilbiss because I wanted a quality product, but this thing has given me nothing but headaches... I can't ever get back all those hours/days of prep work and all the money spent on materials only to have the gun screw up my paint jobs.
