Good value for the price Sep 30, 2007

"Master Hobbyist"
I was pleased with the overall quality of the 2 gun kit. I actually used the smaller touch-up gun instead of the larger gun because it was easier to adjust to minimize orange peel and my results came out great on a base coat/clear coat application. I would purchase a more expensive gun if I was painting a lot more.

Great starter guns! Oct 16, 2009

I have painted several cars with this set now and I have had no problems with the quality. I highly recommend this set to any hobbyist, or even a professional shop looking for an extra set to keep production times down. They spray just as well as some higher priced guns I have used, and with an experienced painter, the results are just as good.

Excellant Item Jan 12, 2012
By Abby I bought this item for my fiance, he loved it! It was exactly what he was looking for. It is also nice that it comes in a case that is easy to transport and store.

Good gun BUT crappy cups Dec 24, 2012
By Robert C. Berglund I bought this set to spray primers and a few other coatings. The problem is the cups and the plastic gaskets that are on both of the guns. The small touch up gun works like a dream....until the freeeeking cup breaks at the junction where it attaches to the gun body. I only used it a few times and it bit the dust. There is no way to repair it so it looks like I have to buy another cup at $20.00 !!!!.
Now for the larger gun..... It leaked from day one. I tightened down the cup and it still leaked. I tightened it down some more and by this time the plastic gasket was so deformed it leaked real bad to the point I would not use it anymore.
I am a woodfinisher with nearly 30 years under my belt so I do know how to spray...I do know to respect a tool...and I do know how important it is to keep my tools nice and clean and in tip top working order.
I grew up using the DeVilbiss and Binks lines of spray guns but the quality control should be much better than it is.Because of these issues I wont be able to recommend this product to a prospective buyer.
One saving note...maybe. I did contact DeVilbiss and they promised me a new cup for the larger gun but as of yet I have not received it. In the meantime after originally contacting DeVilbiss, the smaller cup bit the dust just a few days after I contacted DeVilbiss. I doubt they will replace IT so it looks like Im going to be out $16.00 dollars.
Here is an update as of 1-08-2013. I did contact DeVilbiss company about the quality of the cups and gaskets that came with my HVLP set and DeVilbiss has sent me replacement cups for the large gun as well as the smaller one. They also have sent me two replacement gasket sets for each cup. I have put both these guns back into service and so far no leaks.

Awesome kit, for cabinets finishes May 28, 2012
By Jackofemall56 My father and I, just got into spraying furniture that we make cabinets as well. These guns have a great spray patterns, very consistent. Just like any gravity fed ,have to just keep clean. I'm sure there's allot I don't know about spraying and finishes, but using m.l. Campbell has amazing flawless results.
