This is the finest sander I have owned, bar none. Using the autonet sanding disks and my vacuum system, I am now sanding nearly dust free. I have even used it sanding drywall seams with great results. It is much lighter than my former orbital sanders, and much easier to use one-handed. Another benefit is that I don't generally have to hold or clamp down the wood pieces anymore to keep them from wandering.

I have had festool, dewalt, porta-cable,makita and more sanders..
The best sander I've ever had in my hand. I sold my festool stuff after a few days of owning this one.
I use it on hard maple furniture.
If you can swing the price tag, look no further. If you use R/O a lot, you need this sander.
Buy the abranet disks to go along with this sander and don't substitute.
This sander kicked Festool right out of the shop and never looked back.

Amazing. Works better than you would believe. I have worked in the autobody industry a very long time, this easily outperforms the best pneumatic DA sanders. Super light, super quiet, very powerful. I use it at home so that I don't have to fire up my noisy compressor. Excellent for any project ranging from automotive to refinishing and stripping my deck. It has the 3/16" orbit so don't expect to get great results at over 800 grit for automotive. You won't regret this purchase, worth the high price.
Hold the "-" and "+" buttons at the same time to change modes, the variable trigger function is great for fine sanding and edges. Connecting to a shop vac creates almost entirely dust free sanding. The abranet paper that comes with it is amazing. I hate to sound like such a salesman, but WOW!
