Only good for part of Spongebob Nov 03, 2011

I purchased this along with the Wilton SpongeBob SquarePants Aluminum Cake Pan for my son's birthday. This contains 4 x 1/2 ounce containers of coloring. Obviously, the containers are small but unless you plan on making numerous cakes, how much do you need? These do not come with any kind of dropper system to dispense the coloring, instead recommending you use toothpicks.
It baffles me that they didn't include a black coloring in this set as obviously that is also needed (something I neglected to think about when I ordered this set). If I had to do it again, I think I would have just purchased a larger gel set such as the Americolor Soft Gel Paste Student Kit- Culinary Academy 1st Choice! which includes all the colors needed (including the black) but as gels rather than coloring (requiring less dye, giving more vivid colors, and not "watering down" the icing). By the time I factor in how much it cost me to get the black in addition to this pack, the larger set would not have cost too much more and would have left me with a far more versatile product.
