Fast & Furiously Red Dec 25, 2010
By D.Snake
"Snake"
First time buyer review
Pro: - Bright red color - Good paintcan w/nozzle, plenty of paint volume to use (up to 8 calipers if used sparingly) - Easily sprays paint from 8 - 10 inches away - Dries w/in 1 hr! Completely dry w/in 24hsr - checkout the uploaded photo
Con: - Put in extra time to prep the caliper surface for painting. De-grease, sand, dry! Take care to use masking tape/newspaper to protect against overspray.

Excellent product! May 28, 2011
By Marcel I purchased this VHT red caliper paint as i wasn't satisfied with the Dupli-Color paint I used for my caliper brakes 2 weeks ago on my VW Jetta. The red was not a HOT FLAMING RED that I was looking for. I shopped around online but just couldn't find one that would convince me otherwise. Then I ran into this VHT product and they stated "REAL RED" so decided to give it a try. I had my doubts when I ordered it but when I tried it out a few days ago, I was truly amazed how bright the color was! Excellent product!!!

By Wirez Great product. Painted calipers using the G2 kit and then applied custom decals and sprayed clear coat on top. Love the results. Super bright glossy calipers

Excellent quality paint Mar 10, 2013
By R. Oden I just finished spraying this product on my new rear rotors. Yes, rotors. All has been painted except for the part that actually makes contact with the pad. Since my wheels leave the brake area pretty exposed I didn't want my rotors looking like rust buckets like my current ones. I prepped the rotors with brake cleaner and some degreaser, Blue-taped the parts I didn't want painted, and then painted 24 hours later. I did one tack coat, three light coats, followed by a thicker coat for that nice finish. The paint didn't try to drip at all, there was no orange peel, and left a very nice shiny black coat. The final step was something I have never done with paint which was stick it in the oven for an hour. The instructions say its necessary so that's what I did. The family complained about the paint smell but not too badly. Make sure you turn on the venting system on your oven first :).
Pro's: *Easy to apply *Pretty resistant to dripping. -Other high temp sprays I've tried in the past almost have the consistency of water. VHT is nice and thick! *Very nice glossy black finish *My search for the best brake paint product is now complete...assuming it holds up well over time.
Cons: *Fairly strong odor when baking

Quality Caliper Paint System May 24, 2011
By Colonel Chibs I used this with the Flame Proof Primer and Clear coat. After a thorough cleaning the system seemed to go on well. I then cured the calipers and brackets in the oven as the can instructs. The calipers and brackets came out looking great. It has only been a few weeks so time will tell how long this will last. So far I would definately recommend this as part of a full caliper painting system if you are looking to paint your calipers.
