Not only good for under body repair, great for roof repair. Jul 27, 2011
By Gerhard
"GB"
I actually ordered this for roof repair after seeming a commercial indicating that their product would repair all sorts of neat thing, including roofs.
It dawned on me that 3M undercoat is flexible and can be used for the same effect: sealing a leak in your roof!
I've also used this for under coating automobiles and it does help kill road noise very well.

As good as Line X ! Oct 30, 2011
By Avis Davis
"Avis1618"
If your doing a bed liner or undercoating, this is the best you can get in a spray can. Its pretty much Line X in a can. It holds up great to salt and rock damage, and the wear and tear of the road. It does take a few coats to get the desired thickness because of shrinkage. Be sure to wear old clothes and have some lacquer thinner on hand(NOT PAINT THINNER),it won't cut it, plus a few rags. The tip sprays out a pattern just like spray paint so be sure to mask off anything you don't want to coat,(it can be real messy)! Dry time is about 30 min to the touch, and a full cure is about 24 hours. Great stuff for a great price.

As described May 13, 2010
By Dylan

Works as described. My personal use for this product was to seal what I thought was an air leak in my car door (turns out it was just the rubber weather seal getting off track). I can't quite vouch for how the product performs with sound-deadening regard, but it is pretty neat. It sprays on uniformly and dries in a reasonable amount of time (little more than a half hour). It is also on there for the long haul. It can be removed with proper chemicals and technique, but it won't wear off with just pressurized water or intense sun.
I'll have to find a use for the rest of mine. It's a good product and seems to live up to its promise.
I know this review may not be all that helpful, but take from it what you get-- If you think you have a use for it, get it.

Worked For Me Feb 16, 2011
By Michael Hinojosa

I used it to cover the plastic liners in my wheel well. The rocks on the road would make a lot of noise when it would strike the plastic. I figured the rubber would silence it a little. It seems to work well. I would have just put it directly on the wheel well but i thought I would try it on the liners first. I can't tell you how it works under heat but it's been -25 degrees and gone through some of the worst roads in Alaska and sticks well.

Thin Oct 14, 2012
By Dave I purchased this product to spray in my wheel wells and to coat the inside of my car, to dampen noise. I thought the rubberized spray would be a bit thicker than it is, as it is basically three layers of paint thick, after all is said and done. It does come out of the can nicely, sprays consistently, and is easy to control. I purchased two cans to coat about 5 square feet of trunk and wheel well space, and it was just barely enough. For the price, I would expect a larger area of coverage, but now you all know what each can is capable of.
