The ONLY highlighter to use for long-term use. Feb 03, 2010
By A. Gift For You
"Seasoned Accountant"
I began using this style of highlighter approximately 12 years ago. The main reason is that I was working at a job where I had gone back through the archives to find that every highlighted work was missing from text documents. I understood this to have happened because the "cheap" highlighters absorb into the paper fibers and eventually press out the ink. The Sharpie Accent Liquid pen allows for the actual color to lay over top of the ink (toner) on the page so 10+ years from now whatever was highlighted will still be there. I am not an expert on highlighters and have absolutely no affiliations with Sharpie. My experience is strictly that of an Accountant.

Good highlighter but short life Jun 01, 2008
By Nabeel The highlighter itself is well made. The look of it is great and it really provides a nice gliding feel compared to other highlighters. I have used a great deal of highlighters and the sharpie liquid is much more vibrant and smooth than the traditional pocket accent highlighters and similar. However, the liquid ink is emptied out fairly quickly. I suggest getting the dry ink ones if money is an issue because the difference is not enough to justify the price.

Excellent highlighter Jan 24, 2008

I'm a researcher and live and die by highlighters. This one puts out a lot of ink easily without bearing down much which I love and it lasts a long time. It's thicker than an average writing pen which makes it perfect for precise marks. The tip is narrow so you don't overlap lines and it flexes so I get a solid highlight. I hate the fat ones because the tip is too rigid and they pickup ink, this one doesn't. Only one drawback: You pay for what you get so it's a bit more than the fatties. Ironically even if the well is empty it keeps going!

Great highlighter! Nov 05, 2009
By vmiboxman04 I'm one of those people who, when they find something they like, hopes that the manufacturer never changes it. This is one of those items.
The color is bold but doesn't bleed through the paper. I use mine to highlight and take notes in my Bible, so even though the paper is thinner, it doesn't show up when you flip the page.

Decent Highlighter, But It Drains Fast Aug 11, 2006
By Diego Banducci This is a highlighter that has a liquid reservoir, a distinct improvement over ones that utilize a wick type arrangement. While it marks well enough, the liquid drains out quickly, about three times as fast as competitive reservoir markers. Given its high price, you're going to spend a lot for a little.
A better (and cheaper) highlighter, if you can find it, is the Binney & Smith inkTank Desk Highlighter Chisel Tip.
