Cupcakes here I come Jun 16, 2009
By Purple Lotus I bought a set of Ateco piping tips are a catering store as it was all they had. I thought it would do for piping frosting onto cupcakes. It worked ok but the tips weren't really large enough (and I don't make the cupcakes that big). The set I bought before was more for cake decorating.
I looked all over for large tips and ended up finding them here. The bag and tips sealed well and did a great job. The the reviewers are right. I am looking forward to trying them with mashed potatoes or deviled eggs.
The mouth of the round tip measured in at 14mm diameter(large enough for me to stick a finger through) and the star tip was 10mm.

great deal! Jan 15, 2011
By A.T. I previously purchased the ateco 55 pc decorating tip set, but none of the tips were big enough to pipe out eclairs or cream puffs. After reading the reviews I decided to get this set of 3. It is such a great deal because it's about the same price as just buying a pastry bag.. here you get the tips too! Plus I got this with the 4 for 3 promo, so it came out FREE!
So, since it's not in the description I will tell you the tip numbers: the round tip is number 806 and the tip opening is 1/2 in. The star tip is number 824. It also comes with a little insert directions for mashed potatoes, eclairs, cream puffs, crullers and meringues. By the way, there is no extra container/ holder.. it all just comes in a small box which I kept and use it for storing the bag and tips.
BOTTOM LINE: great buy and try to get it with the 4 for 3 promo. I already used the round tip to make eclairs, cream puffs, and french macarons. I have yet to use the star tip, maybe I'll make some cupcakes.. I definitely recommend buying these!

Big help, little price Oct 26, 2008

This is a very versatile set, and a must in any kitchen! The larger tips can be used for almost anything from pate'choux, to filling deviled eggs, to dolled up mashed potatoes! The bag is strong but flexible, and can be washed and used over and over. If you do anything creative in your kitchen, you need this.

It is very hard to find large filler tubes like this with the pastry bag. I use this for cannolli and pizzelles and it is perfect. Really a great buy!

Great for Manicotti Dec 14, 2009
By K. J SVENDSEN I actually bought this to use to stuff the shells/tubes when I make manicotti. It works great and the clean up is really easy. The inside of the bag is non-stick so it's very easy to wash. You slide the tip down the inside of the bag to the end and you get a tight seal so there is no leakage. Overall, a great product for baking or cooking needs.
