The Right Tools for Candy Making Nov 23, 2010
By M. Hill This set of three tools is essential for candy making. That said, I limped along without it for a few years and made my life much more difficult in the process. I used spoons and forks and dripped everywhere, both wasting chocolate and making a mess.
The round tool makes dipping cream centers and marzipan balls into chocolate a breeze. It provides a secure base to hold the candy while removing it from the chocolate. The forks work well with square/rectangular or larger shapes like caramels, mint patties or even dipping cookies to coat them in chocolate. The thin tines permit dipping without dragging a lot of chocolate out of the melting pot, so waste is kept to a minimum.
The tools make it easy to create chocolate dipped goodies, limited only by the user's imagination. I am very pleased with the quality of this set and, as with many things, the right tools make all the difference.

Worked well for me except slippery handle Jan 10, 2011
By gee I liked this product and received it right in time before Christmas eve - I wanted to make truffles. It's good quality and doesn't look like prongs will come off soon like other such products. I have only used it once and liked it quite a bit - just a tip - try to keep your hands dry/grease free when using this, the handle is a nice shiny steel which can easily get slippery. I didn't throughly wash my hands after greasing my cookie sheets, and the slippery grip made me keep dropping dipped candy back into the molten chocolate! No problem with product, just a using tip!

Good dipping tools Dec 12, 2011
By Bill McReynolds I have tried several tools for dipping truffles and these work the best of the ones that I have tried. The only problem I have with them is that the handles are too long for some of my smaller bowls. I am going to try bending the handles. If that doesn't work, I guess I can just cut them off.

Good quality all-purpose candy dipping tools. Jan 06, 2012
By A. Ferre After years of dipping my Christmas chocolates using a spoon, I decided to spring for this. I am very please with the quailty of the item (they have a nice weight to them and a good finish on them) and the candies made using them.
