Rain-X on steroids Jan 20, 2012
By kaminokids I hate wipers! In order to avoid using them, I applied Rain X every few weeks. A few swipes with the wipers and it wore away. Based on reviews for Aquapel, I decided to give it a try. It performs no better than a fresh application Rain X, but the rain repellent properties last for months rather than days. Not perfect, but pretty close.

Best Glass Treatment In The World! Feb 24, 2012
By Steve This is far and away the best windshield glass treatment available. I initially had it applied at my repair shop for $15 and then found I could buy it for much less. It is simple to apply and last for many months. While driving in heavy rain it is almost better to drive without your wipers as the water is forced up over your windshield. Don't even think about any other product-You Tube videos show the difference.
AMAZING: i don't need an Ice Scraper anymore... AWESOME!!! Jan 06, 2012

Hello, i have to specify that i used this product last year and i was happy with the result, but i didn't know if what was happening was due to the Rain X, that i normally always use, or Aquapel.
Well. this year i gave it a special try: on the Windshield of my Car i put Acquapel and on the back Glass i put Rain X.
Next Morning there was ice everywhere, but with one difference: on the Windshield with Rain X the Ice was sticking, and once scraped the Rain X was inexistent, instead on the side with Aquapel, i removed the ice with one swoop of my arm!
To compare it to Rain X... this product is not as Water Repellent as Rain X as soon as you put it on, BUT while Rain X loses is repelling power in a matter of few weeks, this Aquapel sticks to the glass for several months.
!!! BUT THE BEST PART IS THAT IT DOESN'T ALLOW ICE TO STICK TO THE GLASS EITHER !!!
So basically, here is my advise:
if you don't have a Garage and leave your Car out in Winter... put Acquapel on your Windshield and on your side Windows and when you get to your can in the morning, the ice will fall off just by pushing it down with your hand.
if you are looking for a very powerful water repellent because you like for the water to just wisk away immediately even at low speeds, you better off putting Rain X on your Windshield once a month, but if you are OK using your windshield wipers every once in a while, with Acquapel you do a treatment and you are good to go for an entire season.
PERSONALLY: i treat my Glass at the beginning of winter, around the beginning of November, and i am fine all the way though the freezing season
I WOULD RACCOMAND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE WHO PARKS HIS CAR OUTSIDE REGARDS
Works great, easy to apply Jan 04, 2012
By helirob99 I used to use rain-x, but it was time consuming to apply, and did not last long. Just one or two shots of the windshield cleaner, and the rain-x was done. Enter aquapel. It works, and works great. Just clean the windshield, wipe it on, and using a paper towel, wipe it dry and clear. After a month on two cars, including several car washes, it is still working better than rain-x ever did.
Slick Windshield Nov 11, 2011
By Kasmir A single Aquapel applicator handled the windshield, rear window and both front side windows on my Jeep Cherokee Sport. Rain sheds nicely and snow clears easily. Plus, no more windhield wiper squeeking noises.
