 Quiet, but watch out for the regulator! May 21, 2011

This is the first air compressor I ever purchased for use with airbrushing w/ a Master G22 airbrush. Its low psi is designed specifically for airbrushing which is part of the reason I purchased it.
The other reason is, I have a lot of neighbors, so noise was a big issue for me in choosing a compressor. The packaging says this compressor only generates 47db of noise. I'm not certain how loud that actually is, but this air compressor is pretty quiet!! I set it up easily in just a few minutes.
Its very light and portable and fits virtually anywhere.
My only major issues are the included regulator is cheaply made and has long since broke. (The spring inside burst out of the turn knob and just about hit me in the eye...) Since then Ive tried several different regulators but Ive been able to get them to work correctly with this air compressor.
Also, if you arent going to be switching airbrush brands, then this is great a great compressor. But becareful Once you switch to a different airbrush manufacturer all the connectors change and it can be a mega pain to get things working how they should again. (speaking from my recent experience on this one...)
Now that I realize I love my new hobby I've decided to invest in a different compressor recommended to me by fellow hobbyists. I wish I'd have had their insight before. I would have splurged just a bit more and bought the one they are recommending to me back then.

Get this for working g on model planes. Works pretty decent. Had to buy a different coupler as the one tgat came with the compressor was too small tp fit my badger hose but it was a quick trip to the hardware store to solve this problem. Had a big issue with leaks at first but excessive teflon tape around the threads eventually fixed this. Unit gets very hot if working on small detail work that requires a lot of little spraying here and there which keeps the compressor constantly trying to recharge pressure but this is a small feat. Just use it ibm sessions if Youre going to be doing a lot of spray work and you'll he fitsunami a great little pump. ne. For tow money
