The Logan Adapt-A-Rail Cutting Guide includes an aluminum guide rail with a no-slip rubberized base, nylon guides and screws that adapt the #701 Staight Cutter, #704 Glass Cutter, #2000, #3000 and #4000 handheld mat cutters to the rail. Nylon bearings attach easily to mat cutters, while rubber strips help keep the rail from slipping.

5Great for cutting glass and big matte boards  Feb 16, 2012

I have a 40" Logan matte cutter, but once in a while I need to cut an oversize 40x60 matteboard or foamboard. I also had the freehand matt and board cutters, so this works great for occasional jobs.

Until I can fit or afford a dedicated glass cutter ($2500), I use this with the Logan glass cutter accessory for nice straight cuts on glass up to 40x60. This doesn't replace a professional system, but is satisfactory and consistent with lower useage.

Unlike the versions 40" and below, this one has a textured metal surface underneight instead of rubber. I would have preferred rubber like the others, but it does grip well and doesn't scratch the glass. It is also easy to clean.
