3M Heavy Duty Scotch Squares Do The Trick!!! Oct 09, 2011
By K. Williams
"& wife"
I ordered this pack of 3M Scotch squares a few weeks ago. I needed these mounting squares for my door sensors for my security system. My door sensor began to fall off from the old adhesive. These mounting squares came in the mail and did the trick.
These are 1-inch squares, and the adhesive is very strong. You can easily cut to size, which is exactly what I did. I cut it to size, put one on my security sensor, and the other to the wall. Held it for about 60 seconds, and the thing hasn't moved a bit. I will definitely use these for other projects around the house. What a great inexpensive product. And, you get a ton of squares in this pack, more than enough.
So Many Uses, Easy to Use Jan 25, 2012
By K. Groh We needed a way to attach a large number of wooden items to a display. These were the perfect solution. Easy to peel backing allowed us to place the sticky on while getting them ready. The green cover stayed in place until we needed to remove it for final placement.
They are strong and stick to a variety of surfaces. I've used them for years and just used another 200 squares with complete satisfaction.
Just be careful as they will pull drywall paper off if stuck to painted walls.
Did not work for me Jan 23, 2012
By iRah Only 3-stars from me as this tape did not do the job that I bought it for. I was only trying to mount an ornamental piece to the wall since due to its design it did not have a "nail" hanging receptacle. It piece was less than 1lb in weight and in spite of me appyling sufficient tape, it just would never hold. I think I got an 'expired' tape as it wasn't even sticky to touch with bare fingers.
Warning: Can not be removed. Jan 18, 2012
By J. Rogers I usually cut these into 1/4 inch square pieces. That seems to be all I need to get the job done. I use them instead of a suction cup to attach stained glass decorators and other decorations to my windows. None have fallen off yet. But the suction cup falls off all the time. You can scrape them off the glass with a razor. But you can not get them off of plastic or paint. The adhesive bond is pretty much permanent.
Not bad Jan 12, 2012
By MyHaruHana Holds pretty well. When used properly with the proper weight it holds like a dream. I need to buy more of these. I've used it for mounting cork boards, hooks, and heavier items to my wall.
