3M Perfect-It II Rubbing Compound, 32oz (3M 05973) - Specially designed medium cutting, liquid compound for removing 1200, 1500, and 2000 color sanding scratches in automotive paints including clear coats. Use with 3M Perfect-It Foam Compounding Pad, part number 05723.

Features:

  • A fine cut, versatile rubbing compound.

  • Removes 1200 grit sanding marks, coarse swirl marks or medium oxidation.

  • May be used by hand or with a power buffer and closed-cell foam pads.

  • Compounds are very aggressive, so should be used very carefully.

I use this 3M Rubbing Compound on a lot of aircraft windscreens. They remove haze, buffing swirls, overspray, and minor scrathes.
