Awesome results when paired with 3M 06068 Perfect-It Ultrafine Machine Polish Jan 06, 2012

Never used polishes before but boy are the results amazing! I have come to trust the 3M brand with all applications they make and this was no different. When paired with 3M 06068 Perfect-It Ultrafine Machine Polish - 1 Quart the results were amazing. I wish I knew about this stuff earlier, I used it on every part of the car, paint, glass and even black plastic trim! This results in a super smooth finish that shines deep.
The most amazing part that I found was the results on faded black plastic trim. I thought I was going to have to use back to black or some other trim conditioner but after a simple pass with the buffer and polish the gray/whitish spots disappeared and what was left was dark black trim with no need for extra conditioners. Not only saving the extra time not having to follow up with trim conditioner but saving the money on not having to buy that stuff.
Also to note, I used a 6" buffer with this 8" pad and did not have any issues. I have the Griot's Garage 10765LNGCRD 6-Inch Random Orbital Polisher which has a Hook backing which was fully compatible with this 3M HookIt pad.

Worked well on the finish of a scratched car. Would recommend it if you needed to remove scrathes from a car.

Recently purchased a used 2010 Tahoe. Previous owner did not know how to wash the vehicle, and left it covered in swirl marks. I never tried to use a rotary buffer before, but was anxious to learn. Using this pad, combined with the 3M 06068 Ultrafine Machine Polish, I was able to dramatically reduce the number of swirl marks very rapidly. I was able to achieve the same effect on my mother's car and father's boat as well. Highly recommended.
