It works GREAT, IF you understand it... Nov 24, 2011
By T. Hollenback This tape works very very well. I've used it on my bicycle, as well as on a headlamp I use for camping (the headlamp is black, so I put a strip of this on it so that it will show up when I search for it using my little LED button light).
I looked at this tape here on Amazon, and to my surprise, I saw some negative reviews stating that the tape is not reflective. In some cases, this is true (but these are cases that aren't actually representative of the product's intended use). Here is why: the tape is retroreflective. In technical terms this means that when light is shone on it, the light is reflected back along the incident path, irrespective of the angle of incidence. Translation: when you shine light on this tape, the light bounces back directly towards the source of the light. So please, after reading this, don't shine your fancy high output flashlight from the level of your waist and curse the tape for being defective. When testing how reflective this tape is, make sure to use a headlamp (or place a flashlight next to your eyes) so that the source of the light is parallel to your line of sight. This will allow you to see what the driver of a car would see.
Headlights on cars are placed right in front of the driver for a reason: so that retroreflective objects (traffic signs, bicycle reflectors, this scotchlite tape) will be highly visible to the driver. If this is your intended use of the tape, you ought to be thoroughly satisfied with its performance. I know I am.

Used for low light situtations! Dec 07, 2009
By P. Nguyen Awesome product. I use it on my motorcycle & bicycle helmets. Its sticky enough to stay on, but not permanently. I can always take it off without messing up the paint.

Bask in it's *reflective* glory Oct 11, 2009
By S. Quinn Yeah, this stuff works pretty darn well. I could tell even from hitting it with an LED keychain light in my dark apartment that the stuff lights right up under some pretty weak sources. As it turns out, with a little bit of care, you can get it to conform to a lot of different surfaces too. I got mine to conform to my motorcycle helmet perfectly. The roll size is good for small projects.

3M Scotchlite Reflective Tape Mar 10, 2011
By acaye2 Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RITXVZQ874W6 3M Scotchlite. I've used this product and will be buying more. Great on a bicycle or a small piece on the back of a motorcycle helmet. Or maybe on a car bumper or the inside of your car door jam to keep from losing the door when you open it into traffic.

Works great on my bike Oct 07, 2009
By Gunar Tape is highly reflective and easy to use. Bought it to increase visibility on my bike and taped it on frame and fenders. Tape sticks well (I cleaned areas before applying). Serves its purpose well -- therefore my 5 starts.
